Hair transplant — short answers
How many hours does an FUE operation take?
Depending on graft count, 4–8 hours. 3000–4500 grafts are typically completed in a single session.
Is hair transplantation painful?
The operation is performed under local anesthesia. The pressure felt after anesthesia may be uncomfortable but is not described as pain.
Will there be scars in the donor area?
FUE leaves no linear scar. Individual extraction marks may be visible under specific lighting on short hair but are not noticeable in everyday life.
When will the final result be visible?
First new hairs emerge at 3–4 months; thickening continues at 6–9 months; final density settles at 12–15 months.
